About Us

PGH SK8  is a non-profit on a mission to develop accessible and quality roller skating spaces and programming to empower our community to strengthen their mental and physical health. PGH SK8 Collaborative was formed in the beginning of 2023 after a group of skaters realized the passion and drive we all had to share this hobby we all loved. We want to create community amongst all forms of skating styles, abilities, ages, races, bodies and genders. Our hope is to raise awareness, provide opportunities and equipment to neighborhoods in Pittsburgh. Our goal is to work alongside the City of Pittsburgh to create safe and fun rollerskating programs and pop up events. We have also partnered up with Buy Back The Block Movement PGH to help get a roller rink back in Homewood!

Schenley Summer SK8

PGH SK8 started the Schenley Summer SK8 Sessions after realizing there were no roller rinks within city limits. We wanted to create a safe, accessible skate environment for everyone of all ages, races & genders. Check out the events page for up to date pop up events! Thanks to the success of these events, CitiParks and Allegheny County have committed to making Schenley Outdoor Rink a roller rink in the warmer months. Stay tuned for more info!
